Christianson Lee Studios is

We specialize in fine decorative painting
and glass work. Our award winning team
of decorative painters and artists will complete
your project with creativity, attention to detail,
and promptness. We are committed to artistic excellence
and craftsmanship in every project, from the early
conceptual stages to the final touches. While
we are based in the New York and Connecticut metropolitan
area, we have national and international clients
which include renowned interior designers, architects,
decorators, and art consultants, as well as private
individuals. Our list of distinguished clients
includes the Ford family, Tommy Hilfiger, and
Cunard.

Our services include woodgraining,
marbling, murals, trompe l’oeil, glazing,
stippling, strié, ragging, distressing,
stenciling, faux finishes, painted furniture,
architectural gilding, encaustic, Venetian plaster,
Kolcostico finishes, carved glass, reverse painting
on glass, antiqued mirrors, and the exquisite
art of gilding on glass known as verre églomisé.

J.
Nels Christianson, Principal, received
his Bachelor of Arts from the University
of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI (1981). He
lived and worked in Paris from 1983 to 1985
as a consultant at the Mayflower Interior
Design Company. He went on to study at the
renowned Van
der Kelen School of Decorative Arts
in Brussels, Belgium (1986), receiving its
highest honor of the Van der Kelen Gold
Medal of Excellence for Decorative Painting. |

Eva
Lee, Principal, studied painting
at Bard College in Annandale, NY, where
she received her Bachelor of Arts (1987).
She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree
from Hunter College in New York City (2000).
Recent awards include fellowships from the
Connecticut Commission on the Arts (2002)
and The MacDowell Colony (2004, 2006). To

Benjamin
Lai, Senior Associate, studied
interior architecture at the School of Visual
Arts in New York City. He went on to study
decorative painting at the renowned
Van der Kelen School of Decorative Arts
in Brussels, Belgium (1995). |
